The smallest animals do the majority of the work around here. Our chickens literally have free range on the farm, following behind the cattle to take care of insects and pests and generally clean up the pastures. Their every peck and scratch also helps to aerate the soil, redistribute seeds and nutrients, and their manure acts as a natural fertilizer. Plus they lay eggs that are delicious and nutritious.
Pasture-raised free-range chickens yield eggs with dark yellow yolks, full of flavor and generally higher in nutrients like Omega 3s and Vitamins A and E versus the typical mass-produced eggs. Crack one open and enjoy the difference!
