AMERICAN GUINEA HOG
American Guinea Hogs are the perfect breed for my farm: they’re smaller in size, docile, incredible foragers and grazers, and they provide flavorful meat. Everyone knows pigs love to eat, but they also love to be active and thrive when they get exercise. I’m happy to let them forage throughout the farm, eating roots, grass, and clover, plus they also enjoy a variety of fruits, veggies, nuts and healthy scraps.
Studies show that meat from pasture-raised foraging pigs contains higher levels of Omega 3s, vitamins E and D, and minerals. Our hogs are healthy, hormone-free, antibiotics-free and yield delicious pork meats. And, truthfully, pork just tastes a lot better when it’s pasture-fed.
